In the Forest Chevron Baby Blanket

I am so happy to say that I can check off another item on my ufo (Unfinished Object) list! Wooooohooooo! I started this chevron blanket back in August of 2014…yikes. I only had 5 color changes finished when I put it in the box, but was able to finish it in 3 or 4 days! Going from a beginner-ish knitter and picking it up as a more advanced knitter certainly helped.

I used a US7 and Caron Simply Soft Yarn to make this blanket. The forest was, obviously, my inspiration.

It still needs to be blocked so I can get those nice chevron points on the ends, but I am so happy that the hard part is over! What do you think?

The size is decent for a newborn and would be a good baby shower gift. My blanket will get stored in a box until I either have enough to donate or a baby shower to attend.

If you’d like the pattern, it can be found here.

In the meantime, I’d love to here what you think!
