“Seed Stitch” Infinity Scarf

It is finally going to start feeling a little bit like Fall here starting next week (if you can call that 70s Fall)! I’ve been baking all the Fall cookies and knitting and crocheting all the hats, mittens, and scarves in anticipation of the cold that will eventually come! I was crocheting up a “Seed Stitch” Knit Look Hat, when I decided to make an infinity scarf to match! The only difference between the hat design and the infinity scarf design is the ribbing portion, but that’s no big deal! Other than that, it’s a lot simpler than it looks!

“Seed Stitch” Infinity Scarf
Materials:

  • Worsted Weight Yarn (Less than 1 cake of Caron Cakes was used in the sample)
  • J Hook

  • Round 7-16: Repeat Rounds 5 & 6 alternately
  • Round 17: Ch 1, sc in first and each stitch around, join.

  • Round 19: Ch 1, *fpdc around fpdc, bpdc around bpdc,** Repeat from *to** around, join.
  • Round 20: Ch 1, sc in first and each stitch around, join.

Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Like I said, quick and simple, and now you have a matching set!

Enjoy!

  1. Where does the seed stitch come in if your just doing sc front sc back all the way? Should I start with a double crochet front single back? I’m confused by the instructions that have sc and no double crochet?
    please Help!

  2. I like both your scarf and hat. I am crocheting hats and scarfs for men right now and I am wondering if the hat and scarf would be appropriate for men? Karen
